cool.click™

Introducing cool.click™

cool.click™ is the advanced needle-free option designed for the delivery of Merck Serono’s growth hormone. It is one of the only devices of its kind available for use in Europe and has been used successfully in the treatment of growth hormone-related disorders since 2000.

How does cool.click™ work?

Conventional methods for delivering a growth hormone through the skin involve first piercing the skin with a syringe needle. cool.click™ delivers a stream of finely dispersed growth hormone through a hole less than half the size of a syringe needle in under a second.

What’s so good about a needle-free device?

88% of young children reported feeling nervous about conventional syringe and needle injections43. In cool.click™ the needle has been replaced with a special delivery nozzle removing some of the problems and anxieties associated with daily injecting.

What does this mean to me?

  • 92% of patients experience NO or only slight pain on administration with cool.click™39.
  • 74% of children taking part in our survey preferred using cool.click™ to injecting with a conventional syringe39.

cool.click™ vs. other treatment methods

  • The effectiveness of growth hormone treatment is not compromised by needle-free administration. Growth hormone is delivered through the skin and taken up and distributed by the bloodstream so that similar levels of growth hormone in the blood are achieved using cool.click™ as with conventional syringes. This means that Merck Serono’s growth hormone administration using cool.click™ is bioequivalent to delivery of growth hormone using conventional syringes40,41,42
  • Levels of growth hormone were equivalent for 24 hours following cool.click™ and conventional syringe delivery of Merck Serono’s growth hormone41,42
  • When asked about cool.click™, 70% of adults and children preferred Merck Serono’s innovative and fast delivery device to conventional syringe injections39.
